Pregnancy or Postpartum?
Birth Doula
A birth doula is with you from pregnancy through childbirth and the immediate postpartum. Typically, you will meet with your birth doula 2-3 times for prenatal appointments before going into labor. Postpartum Doula
A postpartum doula is the forcefield that keeps the calm in a newborn’s home. As she “mothers the mother” she provides nourishment, nurturing and calm in whatever form you may need. Sometimes that means rest, sometimes it means food, sometimes it means peace of mind while she shows you how to bathe or swaddle or safely sleep with a newborn.
