More about me…

From a very young age, my passion has been in the experience of women in their greatest transitions. I was the friend who everyone went to when they got their period, the go-to for how and what to use for birth control, and then later the late night call for what to do about a dismissive OB or a sister who has just had a traumatic birth.

As a life-long information gatherer and advocate for women I never assumed that my own birth experiences would be less than ideal- but the realities of our systems of care are pervasive, and I was left traumatized after the hospital birth of my first son in 2013. After a healing birth of my second son with midwives and a doula, it was clear to me that the birth world was calling and I answered.

In the last 5 years I have woven together my formal education with my certification as a Doula and Educator to build everything I wish I’d had in the transition from pregnancy through postpartum and beyond. I am wildly passionate about people knowing their options, having the space to process their experiences, and creating a new normal around issues of consent and the right for pregnant and postpartum people to thrive. I am currently enrolled in earning my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology where I am broadening the scope of practice and skills in serving the community.

Aside from parenting my two sons, it is my biggest privilege and honor to serve people in this vulnerable and immensely important time and I look forward to knowing you and serving you in your journey.
